We had a great evening on Friday attending a Valentine’s Party and performing some children’s photography at a local day care here in Olathe. First, we want to thank them for thinking of us! We also want to share a couple of our photos we made that night for the kids.

We are happy to announce that we have SeniorPhotosKC.com up and running now. Senior Photos KC is a website/blog that is there to help high school seniors get comfortable with the photographer they may be choosing to make their senior portraits. After all, those are portraits that are going to stay with them for a lifetime.
Anyway, we are trying to add to our current advertising portfolio for high school seniors. If you know of a Class of 2009 high school senior that still hasn’t had their senior pictures done, give Chris a call or drop an email. We are willing to work out one heck of a deal for one, maybe two, high school seniors. But that will be it.

Chick-fil-A of Olathe had their second annual Daddy Daughter Date Night and Portraits Today Studios was there to capture the evening. Event photography is a lot of fun. Some participants in an event are more outgoing than others. But isn’t that true of anything?

You’ll be glad to hear that Portraits Today Studios of Olathe has been working furiously to develop new cards to stay hip and current. Our Valentine’s Day card is out now. With a couple more to come. And we are just days away from releasing our templates for baby announcements.
These slick 4″x8″ cards are in the same format as the Christmas cards so many of you ordered a couple months back. They are fun to put together and fun to receive. As usual the cost is $20.95 for a set of 20 and that comes with up to four lines of customizable text and mailing envelopes.
Be sure to ask about them on your next trip in.

I don’t know the details, yet. But I can tell you that I think we are going to do a Camera Camp this Spring Break for kids in junior high and high school. Not sure of the cost or days or hours. But I thought I’d give you an early heads up. Your input is welcome!
We’ll cover the basics. How to use your digital SLR or point & shoot and how to get creative with the cameras. We’ll take shots. Print pictures. Do self-portraits. Could be a lot of fun. We’ll even wander the neighborhood and learn to see a good photo.
Today a young lady came to our portrait studio here in Olathe to help make memories of her very special day. You see, today is birthday #5 and she was having a Fancy Nancy birthday party. Who is Fancy Nancy? Well, apparently my wife and I are some of the last people to know. (Click on the link in the previous sentence.)
Anyway, this young lady brought a Fancy Nancy dress and shoes and books and… So with her mom and grandmom’s help we got her dressed and posed and ta da! we have a Fancy Photo!
